RAW Track Week 2 Riding Focus 1.5km Wheel-Race: Pre-Race favourite was Cameron Scott, who is in Stella form leading into the Junior Worlds, unfortunately the Div1 lead out train fell apart early and Cam ended up 4th about 10m short of the podium. Div 3’s Strong man Garth Heron, hit the front with two laps to go and new rider Matty Jays (DIv 4) skilfully latched onto his wheel. In the final 100m meters Matty took on Garth and managed to pip him (almost dropping it in the process.) Selena Ho came home strong a distance back, to hold out the fast finishing Cam Scott.

Madison: Dominated by Cam Scott and Nick Edwards (taking two laps). But the real action was watching the desperate and sometimes dodgy changes by the other teams in an effort to keep up.
Jacob Kauffman: Congratulations to the super strong NRS rider, Jacob Kauffman, who rock up at the track without the usual NRS ego. Promptly signed in on Novice and went onto the Boards for the first time ever with the sole ambition of learning. He showed great speed in the Novice grade and did all with a big smile. With permission from the commissaire and event organiser he was aloud to participate in the Time Blaster (final race of the night). Jacob not only participated he looked like the strongest rider out there. Well done!
Time Blaster: An anonymous sponsor threw in the extra $50 to up the prize to $100 for the winner if they beat the time of 8:45 (51.3km/h). They were looking good as Jacob pulled a double lap turn to be on target with 5 laps remaining. However with only Jason Austin and Nick Edwards left to ride out the final laps they faded quickly and missed the target. The $100 cash will now Jack pot to week 4.
