Week 6 Bring it!

RAW TRACK Newsletter 2009 sponsored by:

www.Bicisport.com.au

This week’s Races
•   Round 1   warm up Scratch
•   Round 2  “no event this week”
•   Round 3  ½ field sprints
•   Round 4  Point’a’Lap (Hillbrick  Round)
•   Round 5  Round 5  Combines
•   Round 6 Race video replays, Cyclists pasta and beverages in the HBT.

Explain these races
Point'a'Lap- The race is run similar to a point score-however each lap is a sprint for first place only and worth one point. The overall winner is the rider with the most points.

Half Field 5 lap scratch/sprint.  Your Division will be split into two heats (based on point score rankings). So if there are 18 riders in div 2 there will be two heats each containing 9 riders. The race is run under standard scratch race rules. At only 1.25km in length this race is considered more like a sprint than a scratch race.

  SERIES

•   The Hillbrick series is a separate point-score over selected events
•   The Hillbrick events will be well balanced between sprint and endurance events.
•   Riders will score 5, 3, 2 and 1 points for 1st to 4th in any grade of a Hillbrick series event (not including Novice)
•   The final event will be a handicap for the top 15 point scorers of the series.
•   In 2009 the final handicap will decide the series winner
•   First prize will be a “Hillbrick Carbon Pista” Frameset
