STARTS THIS WEEK RAW Track (Race All Winter Track) is back for 2019
first race 7:30pm
• Round 1 warm up Scratch
• Round 2 no race (wheel-races run at best every second week pending sponsor)
• Round 3 sprint (6 up’s over 3 laps)
• Round 4 Point’a’Lap (1st point after 3 laps) • Round 5 Combines

Explain these races Sprint- RAW Track sprints are usually run as 4-6 ups over 3 laps the first few laps are usually spent sizing your opponents up and positioning yourself for the optimum explosion to the finish. It is not uncommon for a sneaky rider to attack early in the hope of holding a lead to the finish. The sprint is a test of power, speed and above all, tactics.
Point'a'Lap- - The race is run similar to a point score-however each lap is a sprint for first place only and worth one point. The overall winner is the rider with the most points. No Novice grade week 1 We are hoping for a big turn out on week 1 so to speed things up we will be going with no novice grade.
This is a great opportunity for novice riders to come and see the flow of things
The Novice grade will start week 2 (July 05)
Points for 2019 TWE series starts week 1• For every week you attend you receive 10 points
• Everyone is allowed to miss 2 RAW nights without losing too many points.
• In rounds 3 and 4 top 4 place getters receive 5,3,2 and 1point respectively
• From Week 9 place getter points are doubled.
Sign-on’s and Licenses ….. Bring It!• If this is your first RAW Track for 2019 you will need to show your license …….
It is everyone’s first for 2019• I record your license as sighted and you are fine for the season.
Race entry fees for 2019• $20
• Unemployed/ students $15
• Family discount are available ($5 off per additional family member)
RAW entry fees have not change now, for about 10 years
No Bib numbers for 2019 and RAW is a Pin free zone • 2019 RAW will again have seat post numbers
• You will keep this number
• Please give yourself plenty of time to attach your number on the first night
Suggested step 1 : make two cuts in your number
Suggested step 2 : use two provided zip ties to attach number to seat post, a third zip tie can be attached to your seat rails for extra stability
